FOREST CITY, June 29, 2017 鈥撎 The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) recently reaffirmed Waldorf University鈥檚 accreditation, with the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2026-2027.
听
鈥淲e are very pleased that the Higher Learning Commission reaffirmed our accreditation status through the year 2026,鈥 Waldorf University President Dr. Bob Alsop said.听 鈥淭his took a lot of work by many people, and we are very happy with the outcome.听 We pride ourselves in providing top academic programs, experienced staff and professors, and state-of-the-art facilities to our students. This reaffirmation by the HLC just confirms that we are moving in the right direction and are providing quality educational opportunities to both our residential and online students.鈥澨

The HLC also approved Waldorf鈥檚 request to offer a Master of Arts in Healthcare Management and Master of Education in Effective Teacher.
听
鈥淭he addition of these two programs will help solidify Waldorf as a top-notch, provider of Master level education,鈥 Dr. Alsop said.听 鈥淲e plan to implement these programs over two years, with the Effective Teacher Master鈥檚 enrolling students starting this fall, and Healthcare Management in the fall of 2018.听 They will be great additions to our current Master program, Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.鈥

The Higher Learning Commission is one of seven regional accreditors in the United States with responsibilities for ensuring the quality of higher education institutions. Accreditation decisions are made based on five criteria that measure an institution鈥檚 effectiveness in teaching and learning, finances, student retention and completion, governance and long-range planning.
