FOREST CITY, IOWA, September 13, 2017 鈥 Waldorf University鈥檚 Theatre Department presents The Odd Couple, September 20-23, 2017, in the Smith Theatre in Voss Hall.

Two versions of The Odd Couple will be presented. A male version will be presented September 20 and 23, while a female version will run on September 21 and 22.

鈥淲e are kicking off this new academic year with the hilariously funny, The Odd Couple,鈥 said Waldorf University鈥檚 Director of Theatre and Professor Dr. Bob AuFrance. 鈥淲ith the talented students we have, we are presenting both a male and female version of the show. Both will be highly engaging and entertaining!鈥

The Odd Couple听is a听听by听. Following its premiere on听听in 1965, the characters were revived in a successful听听and听, as well as several other derivative works and spin-offs. The plot concerns two mismatched听: the neat, uptight Felix Ungar and the slovenly, easygoing Oscar Madison. Simon adapted the play in 1985 to feature a pair of female roommates, Florence Ungar and Olive Madison, in听The Female Odd Couple.听

Tickets can be reserved by emailing theatre@waldorf.edu or by calling the box office at 641.585.8585. Ticket prices are: adults - $10, seniors and students (non-Waldorf University) - $8 and Waldorf University students - $2.听 The show on September 23 is sold out.
